Hello All our Faithful Kit Makers.  IMPORTANT INFO FOR THE DEPOT

I have finally gotten the answers that I needed to supply you with for the in gathering sorry for the delay- it has been a long process and lots has changed.

Lutheran World Relief (LWR) and Church World Services (CWS) are working separately now.  Both their kits aredifferent and they will probably be taken to different places in the U.S. The Bretheran are in the process of selling the warehouse in Windsor, MD and we will have new truck drives for both LWR and CWS. Dates for the in gathering this year will be as listed below for both CWS and LWR:

The days will be:  Friday, October 10th, 9 AM - 12 PM

                                 Saturday, October 11th, 9 AM - 12 PM

                              Monday, October 13, 9 AM – 12 PM & 4-6 PM

                              Thursday, October 16 truck pick up

I will enclose a brochure for both CWS and LWR so you can look them over.  They both will accept either kind in this year of transition.  We will separate the boxes at the church but please label the boxes CWS or LWR so this process can go smoothly.

                       

      Things to Remember:

1. Please do not make boxes heavier than about 30 lbs.  Make sure each box is CLOSED and SEALED or has a lid on it that won’t come off.  These boxes and buckets are tossed around and packed in a tractor trailer so they must be secure.

2. It is not necessary to weigh anything but mark on EACH box with how many kits or quilts are in each box.  Pack only 1 type of kit in each box.

3. We do not accept payment of any kind at the depot.  If you have received the directions and envelopes for mailing, you can go ahead and do that.  If you have not, don’t worry.  I will have all the forms and such at the depot.  I will need you to fill out a form for me regardless for my records and will take care of sending them.
